Escrow is a legal arrangement in which an asset is delivered to a third party (called an escrow agent) to be held in trust pending a contingency or the fulfillment of a condition or conditions in a contract such as payment of a purchase price.
Conservator/Guardian
Appointed by the court to care for an estate, property, or person.
Power of Attorney
Written document to act on someone's behalf. The scope of authority granted is specified in the document and may be limited by statute in some states. Power of Attorney terminates on the death of the person granting the power.
Agency
An Agent is a person or institution given authority by another person to act on his/her behalf.
