If qualifications are met each monthly qualification cycle: (1) Domestic ATM fees incurred during qualification cycle will be reimbursed up to $20 and credited to account on the last day of monthly statement cycle; (2) balances up to $10,000 receive APY of 2.00%; and (3) balances over $10,000 earn 0.25% interest rate on portion of balance over $10,000, resulting in a range of 2.00% to 0.41% APY depending on the balance. If qualifications are not met, all balances earn 0.05% APY. Qualifying transactions must post to and settle account during monthly qualification cycle. Transactions may take one or more banking days from the date transaction was made to post to and settle an account. ATM-processed transactions do not count towards qualifying debit card transactions. "Monthly Qualification Cycle" means a period beginning one day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. Transfers between accounts do not count as qualifying transactions. Fees may reduce earnings. ATM receipt must be presented for reimbursement of an individual ATM fee of $5.00 or higher. How do I deposit money?

• Use Direct Deposit for your payroll or government checks; this gives you instant access to your funds without having to visit a branch. Many employers and most government agencies offer this free service. If your employer does offer Direct Deposit, great! They'll have you fill out a simple form and you'll be good to go.

• Wire transfer money from your current account into your newly opened account (contact State Street Bank for details.)

• Mail your checks to State Street Bank or stop into any of our branches.

How do I access my money?

• Shortly after opening a Better Interest Checking account, State Street Bank sends you a free debit card. Use this card anywhere that accepts Visa®.

• If you'd still like to use paper checks, just contact State Street Bank to get set up.

• Better Interest Checking also has free online banking. With online banking, you can access your account from anywhere you have an Internet connection. Bank online to pay bills, view account activity, transfer funds between accounts and confirm deposit amounts.

How do I check my balance?

• State Street Bank offers free online banking with 24-hour access to your account information.

• If there's a month you don't meet the qualifications, don't worry, there's no penalty and you still have a free checking account that earns a base interest. Plus, the next month you qualify you'll be back to earning interest and receiving ATM fee refunds (up to $20 per qualification cycle).

How will I know if I meet the qualifications?

• State Street Bank sends you an email at the end of each qualification cycle that lets you know if you met the qualifications.
